Have you ever taken a book to bed only to find that you don’t get enough support behind your back and arms? It’s difficult to read in bed without one of these pillows. Every bookworm in your family will want one!

There is a pivot point at the bottom of the Reading Pillow Front that can be slightly confusing if not worked with plain fabric first. It is helpful to make this using muslin first so that you get a feel for where you need to pivot.

Alpaca minky cuddle: 1½ yard

Polyester stuffing: 3 large bags (24 ounces each)

• Download and print the Reading Pillow patterns. (For downloading instructions, see Some Essentials for This Book.)

• Make templates from the patterns. Transfer all markings to the templates.

• Cut 1 of Reading Pillow Front.

• Cut 2 of Reading Pillow Arm.

• Cut 2 strips 28½˝ × 2½˝ for armbands.

• Cut 1 of Reading Pillow Back.

All seam allowances are ⅜˝ unless otherwise noted.

1. Transfer all markings from the templates onto the fabric.

2. With right sides together, stitch the armbands to the Reading Pillow Arms along 3 sides, excluding the side with the convex curve.
